In 2012, I left a great job and a great company to pursue a dream of mine—to streamline local government and automate every manual process I could find along the way. In short, to uncover revenue that had fallen through the cracks by re-engineering how local governments operate.
I believed my decades of experience in software development, operations, sales training, and marketing would produce results quickly. It’s taken much longer than I anticipated, but each step has brought both success and failure—and I wouldn’t trade those lessons for anything. Because today, somehow and some way, we’ve built a blueprint for the future.

Mark Schuster,
CEO
A software developer since his freshman year of high school (1971), Mark has written custom management information software (MIS) across a wide range of sectors, including medical, insurance, marketing research, Wall Street brokerage, jewelry manufacturing, utilities, waste management, and the diamond industry—often while leading corporate operations. He has worked in six different programming languages and has been recognized nationally as a data expert. Mark founded TurnKey Taxes, Inc. in 2012 to streamline government accounting and, to date, has identified over $36 billion in previously unidentified top-line revenue. His algorithms are gaining national attention.
Some professional highlights include:
-
Developed the first cloud software that provides real-time data and payment information and connects taxpayers, tax collectors, and municipal government administrators for all classes of data: property, business, and individual.
-
Developed 1st electronic transmission of payroll for ADP
-
Developed 1st PC-based Repo system for government bonds on Wall St.
-
Created 1st options trading software between PCs and IBM mainframes.
In 2025, he published The Destruction of America Through Taxation, which includes a solution to significantly reduce the national debt. He has also collaborated with his artistic daughter, Alaina, on a children’s book—the first in a seven-book series—titled The Voyage of the Chum-Chum, available on Amazon.
Mark is the inventor of the sport of BALF (BAseball and goLF), the only sport ever created in Western Pennsylvania, which has its own space at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. He holds multiple musical copyrights and enjoys working with entrepreneurs who are considering taking the plunge into owning their own business. His work with veterans includes founding the Crafton, PA Memorial Committee in 2004 to annually honor the 104 individuals from that community who died while serving.
Mark is a graduate of Duquesne University and a two-time graduate of the ICM School of Business for Computer Programming.

Education
This goes beyond the classroom. My primary role in business has always revolved around software programming and technology. When your work is so fascinating that it drives you to keep learning, you will always be positioned ahead of most. But more important than schooling or vocation are the ‘teachers’ who shape you for success. If you are fortunate enough to encounter those who recognize your passion and are willing to share their life experiences, seize the opportunity. Give them your time so they can help guide you.
Believe
Believe that you will make a difference. Attitude and effort go hand in hand. If you have the skill sets and surround yourself with great people, what you envision can happen. The only person who can remove your passion is yourself.
Never Quit, Ever.
There is still a long way to go, but the path is clearer because of those in my life who have guided me. I make it a point each year—at a minimum—to reach back out to them. I want to thank them for believing in me and to let them know their efforts have made a difference in the lives of many.
“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

The Destruction of America Through Taxation
Mark combined his love of business with his programming skills. Over the past 40+ years, he has written custom MIS software for many industries, with a focus on streamlining operations and preparing companies for the future.
When he turned his focus to government, he was shocked by what he found. By providing a simple explanation of what has transpired—and what needs to be done—he hopes to help turn the corner and get America back to solvency.
The book covers the following:
-
Why are there so many taxes? Isn’t that confusing?
-
Why don’t governments share their information? Wouldn’t that reduce taxes?
-
Are you frustrated by the lack of simplicity in government?
-
Why don’t taxes ever go down? I’ll explain why.
Warning: A basic understanding of taxes could lead to better communication and cooperation.

-
The most important ratio to measure America’s future
-
